The club participates in tennis leagues run by the Dublin Lawn Tennis Council. These leagues are open to members who have reached their 14th birthday before 1st January in the year of the league (except for the Senior Over 35s leagues).

There are five leagues throughout the year -

Winter League runs from late January to early March. Matches take place on Sunday mornings for men and afternoons for ladies. Format is 3 x doubles pairs per team. in 2011, Glenageary LTC is entering four men's teams ranging from Class 2 to Class 6 and seven ladies teams ranging from Class 1 to Class 7.

Summer League runs from early May to late June. Matches take place on Saturday afternoons or Friday evenings for men and on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evenings for ladies. Format is 3 x singles plus 2 x doubles pairs per team. Both the mens and ladies top teams are currently in Class 1

Mixed League runs during July and August. Matches take place on Friday evenings. Format is 3 x doubles pairs per team. Glenageary LTC normally enters one team in this league of Class 4/5 standard.

Senior League runs from early September to mid October. This league has three different categories - Over 35s, Over 45s and Over 55s (men only). Matches take place on Sunday mornings for men and afternoons for ladies. Format is 3 x doubles pairs per team. The club enters teams in the Over 35s category for both men and ladies and one team in the men's Over 55 category.

Floodlight League runs from mid October to late November. Matches take place on Monday evenings for men and Tuesday evenings for ladies. Format is 4 per team with a draw taking place before each match to determine who play singles (2 players) and who plays doubles (2 players). The men have teams in Class 1 to 4 and the ladies have teams in Class 1 to 4 also.

Charity League

This is an informal Ladies league and runs twice a year in Spring and Autumn. Matches take place on Monday or Tuesday mornings. Format is 3 x doubles pairs per team. The other teams are drawn from the southside of Dublin so travel to matches is not a problem. The winner of each section gets to nominate a charity to receive the prizemoney.

Friday Friendly League

This is an informal Mixed Doubles league and runs twice a year in Spring and Autumn. Matches take place on Friday evenings. Format is 4 x doubles pairs per team, ranging in ability from Class 2/3 to non-league. The other teams are drawn from the locality so travel to matches is never more than 5k.

Five Mile Cup

This is an informal Ladies league and coincides with Summer League. It is intended for Class 7 players who did not get selected for a Summer League team. Matches usually take place on Monday evenings. Format is 3 x doubles pairs per team. The other teams are drawn from within a 5-mile radius - hence the name "Five Mile Cup".
